GAKIC and Muscle Milk
Dec 26, 2007

So I gave GAKIC a shot. It definitely helps you get a few more reps in, but it doesn't really help you lift heavier weight. That's why I think it works best when stacked with creatine. The dextrose in GAKIC even helps get more creatine in your cells, so it's pretty badass. Still, GAKIC is about $35 for two weeks worth, so I probably won't buy it again. The patent is owned by a university, so hopefully someone will come out with a cheaper version.

Also, I've decided to stop taking Muscle Milk. Too many calories for me. I eat a lot to begin with, and I really don't need the extra "fuel" from the saturated fat, and as a result I gained a little too much fat while taking Muscle Milk for a couple months. Back to regular-ass, cheap ol' whey protein. I got a 2lb tub of Bodytech Whey Tech protein for $16.99, and it's pretty good. 24 grams of protein per serving, and only 30mg of cholesterol, which is lower than a lot of other whey proteins, while still having more protein per serving. Pretty happy about that.

Anyway, that's it. Hopefully going back to regular whey will allow me to burn some fat without losing any strength.
