I am allowed one steam bath per month at my gym. Had my first steam bath yesterday. I could stay not more than 5-7 minutes in that steamy room. I wonder how steam bath helps in weight loss? Any idea?
AFAIK, any weight loss from steam bath is only temporary, as the weight loss is only water loss from sweating, which you will gain back. It's not actual fat loss. However, some argue that taking steam bath helps weight loss by detoxing the body, but I don't know if there any actual evidence backing this up...
