| ..... have made me so LAZY. Which has become apparent by the increase in my body stats instead of decrease. It really bothers me, but I can't be too hard on myself. Just have to get back on the horse and go again. I recently bought a book by Jillian Michaels, the awesome kickass femaile trainer from NBC's The Biggest Loser. It looks like it's just what I need, so I think that it's really going to help me do what I gotta do! And there is sun in the forecast so that helps! |

| Bad to the Bone |

I have been so so bad lately. It's been so busy, shopping for birthdays, house reno stuff, dance rehearsals (for my 4 yr old), dance shows, birthday parties (my sister and my daughter), so there has been lots of eating out, and eating unhealthy stuff like cake and ice cream. But, I'm back at it again and I guess that's the main thing, that I don't give up! I did my Slim Sculpt DVD today and it felt really good to be active and pushing my body.

| Sick with a cold :( |

Ugh. I'm all stuffed up with a cold, and I hate it! I did not get any exercise in today because my energy levels are low due to the effects of the cold. I also didn't get any exercise in yesterday because it was Mother's day and so my daughter and I spent the entire day with my Mom, grandmother and my aunts. It was great! (but I still could have used the activity had I known I would feel so bad today).... In any case it's not something that can be helped, so I rested today and will continue to do so tonight and hope I feel better in the morning. At least good enough to get on the elliptical trainer without falling off from my equilibrium being thrown off!! LOL

| One Day At A Time |

Seriously. I was writing in my Weight Control Workout Journal (ISBN #1-892033-43-7 - Check it out, it's great, I can record all my info in it during the day and then update my fitNRG in the evening or next morning) last night and I was noticing that my previous entries were very negative. Which is not good. I know the effects that being negative has on me and I need to put a stop to it now. So when I wrote my thoughts, etc. last night I was very aware of what I wrote. For example under "I am frustrated about:" instead of "being a pig at night", I wrote "munchie eating". And under "What can I do different:" instead of writing "stop being so stupid", I wrote "make smarter choices". It really does make a difference. I'm adding some affirmations to my daily meditations as well. Mind - Body - Spirit. It's all connected and I need to honor that connection.

| Nighttime Munchies & Avtivity |

I don't know what it is about munching at night. Why a yummy snack has to go with a good tv show. If I could limit it to the light cheese and low fat crackers, it would be okay. I could deal with that. But I usual end up adding on a cookie or other chocolatey sweet treat, I'm sabotaging myself I know it, but then I do it anyway!!!
My activity level is staying high and I am so proud of myself for that. I'm really enjoying the weekly yoga class I am taking. I just got Ellen Barrett's DVD called Slim Sculpt. I did that on Tuesday and I LOVED it. So I ordered her new DVD called Yogini Workout. I can't wait to get it and try it out. I added in some free weights today for my upper body (since I worked my lower body mainly during the step aerobics yesterday). I hadn't done any for a while and it felt good to get into them again.

| First Week - So Far Not Bad :D |

First week getting into the groove. Think I did well as far as activity goes, more natural activity than traditional exercise but it felt really good and helped me get out of feeling stagnant. I pretty much sabotaged myself munching at night, it doesn't reflect in my Diet & Nutrition page because I get tired of searching for the same items over and over again. Luckily fitNRG is coming out with a better system for tracking diet and nutrition on this site, so that will be better then. Until then I'll do my best to keep track of the things that I eat with the the nutrition info on the package. I printed out several samples of the blank nutrition label and will fill them out as I prepare my meals and snacks so any "special" items that aren't in the database, I will have my own database of. Go me!
