Rainy Dreary Days....
Aug 15, 2008

..... have made me so LAZY.  Which has become apparent by the increase in my body stats instead of decrease.  It really bothers me, but I can't be too hard on myself.  Just have to get back on the horse and go again.  I recently bought a book by Jillian Michaels, the awesome kickass femaile trainer from NBC's The Biggest Loser.  It looks like it's just what I need, so I think that it's really going to help me do what I gotta do!  And there is sun in the forecast so that helps!

Bad to the Bone
Jun 10, 2008

I have been so so bad lately.  It's been so busy, shopping for birthdays, house reno stuff, dance rehearsals (for my 4 yr old), dance shows, birthday parties (my sister and my daughter), so there has been lots of eating out, and eating unhealthy stuff like cake and ice cream.  But, I'm back at it again and I guess that's the main thing, that I don't give up!  I did my Slim Sculpt DVD today and it felt really good to be active and pushing my body.

One Day At A Time
May 09, 2008

Seriously.  I was writing in my Weight Control Workout Journal (ISBN #1-892033-43-7 - Check it out, it's great, I can record all my info in it during the day and then update my fitNRG in the evening or next morning) last night and I was noticing that my previous entries were very negative.  Which is not good.  I know the effects that being negative has on me and I need to put a stop to it now.  So when I wrote my thoughts, etc. last night I was very aware of what I wrote.  For example under "I am frustrated about:" instead of "being a pig at night", I wrote "munchie eating".  And under "What can I do different:" instead of writing "stop being so stupid", I wrote "make smarter choices".  It really does make a difference.  I'm adding some affirmations to my daily meditations as well.  Mind - Body - Spirit.  It's all connected and I need to honor that connection.

Sunny Sunday
Apr 27, 2008

It is absolutely beautiful here today.  The wind is a bit chilly, but the sun is fabulous :)  I went for a walk and really can feel it in my legs now.  The activity I've gotten in the last few days is really starting to show in my energy levels.  I'll be adding in some free weights and resistance training this week.  I hope that I will see some results within the next few weeks.  Actually I just hope I can keep this momentum over the next few weeks :D

Getting back on track.... for REAL this time
Apr 25, 2008

I haven't been to the FitNRG website for a while now... mostly because I was annoyed about how the nutrition and exercise info was set up, I loved the idea, just not the format or interface.  I have to say that I am pleasanly surprised at the changes and modifications that the staff at FitNRG has applied to this website, navigation, and tracking and navigation tools.  Excellent job!  I know that this was just the bit of inspiration I needed to get me going again.  As you can see from my stats, I have not been doing great.  I've gained lbs and inches and I am not happy with it at all.  Time to take charge and run with it!  With summer coming, I'm hoping this will be the motivation I need to stay focused and get on track... for REAL!!! and for LIFE!!!

A Little Break
Feb 12, 2008

It is so hard to stay on top of everything.  It is so hard to break old habits and begin new ones.  It is so hard to create sensible meals for one adult and a three year old.  However, that being said, it everything worth working for was easy, it wouldn't be worth it.  It takes hard work and effort to appreciate success when it happens.

I took a little break from fitNRG, not because I wanted to, but well, because I've been slack and was embarassed and even a little guilty to record what little efforts I had been making and what poor choices I was making in regards to my diet.

So, now I'm going to take a stab back at it again and really aim to make it work this time.  Not because I have to, not because I need to, but because I WANT it.  I desire it and I'm going to get it.  :D

New Beginnings
Jan 14, 2008

It's a new year and so therefore a new start, a new beginning to get into shape, and create a healthy and active lifestyle.  I really feel like this is my year to do it.  I'll be 30 in August and plan on feeling on top of the world at that time.  Go me!
