Motivation to all

If you are here, I assume that you are determined to become healthy.  That is the first of many steps.  It is never to early to start, but can be too late to start.  The earlier you start being healthy, the less you have to work at it over time because you are used to it, and it isn't a hassel or chore.  You will thank yourself someday.  Here is some of my advice...I am such a novie, but I think it is decent:

Know that the harder you work, the more your work will pay off.  It is hard, but if it was easy then you wouldn't get anywhere.

Don't become obsessed with weighing in on a daily basis.  If you do, you will become obsessed with the numbers, and start thinking of everything in terms of pounds..."next week, I can lose 4 pounds, then 3, then 4..." It isn't good, its not healthy.  Plus if you had a bad couple of days and gained a little, you will be so upset.* Measure results in terms of how you feel, look and all the compliments.

*You are going to slip sometimes, but that is all in the learning process.  It takes a lot of time.  All these lessons and mistakes are yours to learn from.

Don't become a new person on the outside unless that is what you want to do or unless it's for health reasons because there should be no other reason

You have to work hard and use disipline, but you have to treat yourself to your favorite meal and as much as you want sometimes....but only once in a blue moon.

Sorry I write so much, I just have a lot to say..I could go on, but I shan't.
