Caitlin and I did an approx. 2 mile run/walk today....me to recover from yesterday's 6 mile run and for Caitlin a chance to get out and move a little. Surprisingly after yesterdays run my legs felt really good! I think it was a good move to get out and do a little. Besides, it was the first full day of sun in about 3 weeks!! |

| Went on-line and mapped, what I thought, was a 5 mile run. During the run Keith said he felt it was longer than 5 miles....not sure how that could be...the computer had said 5.1 miles. When we finished we tracked it with the car and lo and behold....5.9 miles. An extra mile than what I had planned. No wonder I was feeling tired! The first mile was hard as my legs felt like they weighed 20 lbs a piece and they were a bit sore. We had a steady hill to run which took my breath away, but helped my legs. It's funny the different stages you go through even on a relatively short run. I so wanted to quit at the beginning, but kept telling myself part of the reason I felt the way I did was because I have gained 6-7 pounds in the last month or so (and I felt every one of them!). And the only way I could lose the weight was to exercise...thus it kept me running. It's such a cycle!! Went from feeling good to ok to tired throughout the run, but l felt really strong at the end. Good run, but I'm glad it's over!!! |
