i am 26 years old and have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for 5 years and will be engaged officially very soon (he wants to get the ring first and officially propose).
i am also a couple weeks from getting my certification to be an aerobics instructor, sports nutritionist and senior fitness trainer. after a lot of hard work and passing all my tests with flying colors i should receive my official cert # and paperwork soon. yey!!!
what started this new life...weight has always been an issue in my life but especially lately since i have been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome or pcos and told that my best bet to help it would be to change to a low carb no sugar diet and lose weight (something way more difficult if you have pcos as it affects your weight).
i actually started my weight loss journey on july 26, 2008 with the atkins diet but life got in the way recently and i "fell off the wagon", near the end though i was "leaning way off the side of the wagon" lol. i was doing very well and although i fell off in the last month i have luckily only gained back a few pounds. i was originally 256lbs and before i "fell off the wagon" i was last at 218lbs and had lost 38" off my body!!! yey me...lol!! i am going back on a lower carb lifestyle but using all my training of fitness and nutrition to "practice what i will be preaching" so to speak.
Goals:
i would like to run my own personal trainer business to help people get fit and healthy!!! i would like to be at my goal weight of 140lbs by my birthday in june 2008. i would like to wear a nice bathing suit next summer and feel proud. i would like to get control of my disease using diet and exercise instead of drugs.
and last but surely not least...to get married as i decided on this being the best wedding present i could ever get, to start my new life as a fit healthy woman... and don't worry, my boyfriend is very supportive of this decision and is willing to wait to set a date until i am ready.
Interests:
fitness and nutrition, classic cars, fixing and painting cars, singing/songwriting, quading/snowmobiling, hiking in the mountains, camping and watching movies once in awhile.
